
Beyerskloof Pinotage Reserve 2004
A full bodied Pinotage with a purple deep red colour. The intense black berry and purple fruit flavours are well integrated with the cedar flavours of the French oak. A balanced wine that have the potential to last for at least 7 years and longer in the bottle. The wine will go well with red meat, game, rich cheese and curry or spicy foods.

Because of the cool ripening we had a very even and slow ripening period with good sugar, colour and flavour developements. In general a good year. | |

| Vinification | 5 days in open fermenters. Punch cap by hand. Fermentation temperature between 28 - 30°C. After malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks the wine is matured in 50% first and 50% second fill french oak barrels for 14 months. |
