'Anytime, any place...' as the saying goes. Absolutely delicious with a good steak, Cumberland sausages or fragrant lamb shanks, Beyerskloof Pinotage is a great food wine. It's something to do with the well balanced structure and the persistent but not overpowering fruit. It stands up to and complements a whole range of delicious food, making everything taste better. Any yet, somehow it is soft, smooth and inviting when drunk simply by the glass without accompaniment. Amazing!

'Beyers Truter's famous, inexpensive Pinotage continues to fly the flag for this variety with their plum, spice, blueberry and foresty notes. Lamb shanks and this wine – bring it on. Don’t dawdle, I am starving.' Matthew Jukes – 'The Wine List 2007'
